I started out at
The Lutheran magazine in the early 1990s as a secretary and journalism student. Since relocating to St. Louis, and returning to the Chicago area, I have had an on-going relationship with the magazine as a freelance writer, tackling a variety of topics, and in so doing, talking with many interesting people. I received my master’s degree in media communications from
Webster University in St. Louis, and have written news and feature stories for the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the
Webster-Kirkwood [Mo.]
Times, and other secular media. I am a lifelong Lutheran and member of
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Naperville, Ill. Chances are if you’ve called the
ELCA Foundation, you may have spoken to my husband, David, who is an associate director there. When I’m not writing, I enjoy playing with my children, Sam, 10, and Emily, 5, exercising, fixing up our Lisle, Ill. home and reading.
