Easter effort: No guns on TV

Imagine a whole day of TV shows without a single gunshot. That's what Quakers leading a national campaign hope might happen on Easter, April 15, if networks and cable stations can be convinced to suspend airing programs and commercials that have guns

They also hope that parents would use the one-day pause "to reflect on the effects of TV violence on our children. We hope to help every child and family become aware that shooting people with guns is not an accepted solution to problems, and that there are alternatives to gun violence."
