This Lenten season, boot your computer, drag out your antique typewriter or buy a simple lined pad and smooth-flowing pen — write to God in the presence of God. You'll be taking a step nearer to God each day, too, as you develop a deeper relationship.
Keeping a spiritual journal takes discipline. What will you "give up for Lent" if you decide to begin a journal? Time. You'll need to sacrifice time every day.
