Songs for sharing

Rose Dong asked God a simple question, and the answer she received has put her small Oakland, Calif., congregation on the map. "I asked, 'What should we do?' Dong said. "And it came to me that we needed to share the music of our church with others."

From that idea was born Songs of Hope and Healing, a CD of spiritual music made by Trinity Lutheran's 12-member choir. Trinity gives away the recording to anyone who asks — which has turned out to be thousands of people.
