Wittenberg Center moves The ELCA Wittenberg [Germany] Center will again represent the church in observing the Luther Decade. The center's future was in doubt last October when its directors were let go due to budget woes. Scott A. Moore, an ELCA pastor who lives in nearby Ehrfurt, will serve as part-time coordinator. The center will move into space at Colleg Wittenberg, a facility for study-abroad programs of North American colleges and universities. The facility has guest rooms and space for group seminars. The Luther Decade, launched in Wittenberg in 2008, includes events and observances leading to 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. |
